2006 Women’s Eastern Golf Association Amateur Championship

Gulph Mills Golf Club, King of Prussia, Pennsylvania

June 13, 14 and 15, 2006

USGA Rules of Golf and Local Rules and Conditions of Competition for WEGA Championships govern play.

Tees: All play is from the white WEGA markers.

Report to starter: Please report to starter 10 minutes before your tee time.

Caddies: Players may not bring their own caddies. Caddies are available through the Gulph Mills Golf Shop. Pull carts are not allowed, but players may carry their own bags.

Evacuation Plan: After an emergency or delay of play has been declared by the Committee and the air horns have been sounded, players and caddies will proceed to the nearest course evacuation point. WEGA Committee and Rules Officials will assist in bringing players and caddies to the Clubhouse.

Hole 1 – proceed to Clubhouse.

Holes 2-7, and 8 – walk to maintenance shed located between the 2nd and 3rd holes.

Holes 14-15 – proceed to Halfway House beside the 14th green.

Holes 9-13 and 17-18 – proceed to Clubhouse.

Distance Measuring Devices: The use of distance-measuring devices is strictly prohibited. Penalty: Disqualification.

Ball Drop: On the 18th hole, as an additional option for a ball which lies on the patio of the clubhouse, the player may use the dropping zone nearest to where her ball originally lay (even though the nearest dropping zone may be nearer the hole.) Note: If the ball is dropped in a dropping zone, the ball must not be re-dropped if it comes to rest within two club-lengths of the spot where it first struck a part of the course even though it may come to rest nearer the hole or outside the boundaries of the dropping zone.

Halfway House/Restroom: A restroom and snacks are available in the Halfway House located near the 7th green and the 14th green. Restrooms are also available in the Ladies Locker Room and the Clubhouse.

Gulph Mills Club Policy is that Cell Phones can ONLY be used in the parking lot.

Ties: Ties for the Championship will be determined by a hole-by –hole sudden victory playoff starting on hole 10 and continuing on hole 18. Play will continue on these 2 holes until a winner has been determined. All other ties will be determined by matching cards using the method recommended by the USGA.
